Ian is known for editing Ben Is Back, starring Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges, The Half Of It, starring Leah Lewis, Daniel Diemer and Alexxis Lemire, and Wild Mountain Thyme, starring Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan.

Following his graduation from Emerson College, Ian built a strong foundation at Sound One, the iconic post production facility in NYC. He thrived under the guidance of distinguished editors Tim Squyres, Dylan Tichenor, Barbara Tulliver and Andrew Mondshein while working on a wide range of features at all budget levels.

 

As an editor, Ian has collaborated with writer / directors John Patrick Shanley, Alice Wu and Peter Hedges, and producers Anthony Bregman, Teddy Schwarzman and Nina Jacobson. Artistically versatile, he is driven by a strong sense of story, performance, rhythm and a film’s power to start a conversation.

Ian is an active member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild and the Post NY Alliance. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
